VoIP Phone Systems
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) provides the ability to make and receive calls digitally over an internet connection. Calls between VoIP and the analogue network are made possible by equipment creating connections between them.

Benefits of VoIP for Business
VoIP is a popular choice for both large and small businesses because it allows users to join calls from multiple devices – such as smartphones and business phones. VoIP is also extremely scalable, meaning you can add lines to the service very easily. VoIP calling can reduce call charges, especially if long distance or international calls take place regularly within your business, and can provide a number of new communication features, while also requiring less manual maintenance.
Cost
VoIP phone calls and associated services can be cheaper than their traditional counterparts on a like-for-like basis.
Scalability
VoIP systems are often easy to scale as your business grows, as they can be provisioned remotely with equipment sent directly to you.
Set-Up
VoIP phone systems are usually quicker and easier to set-up, reducing engineer time on site, meaning you could save on engineer fees. VoIP systems also tend to be easier to use, although our engineers provide training as standard.
Video Functionality
Video services are available using VoIP, allowing for face-to-face communication. HiHi2 features video calling as standard, along with video-based support from our team.
Additional Services
VoIP services, especially those that are cloud-based, have access to a wide range of additional services. These include Call Recording and On Hold Marketing.
How does VoIP work?
To use VoIP, you still simply dial the number you wish to call as you would with a traditional phone. The VoIP system provided by Rubix Communications is hosted, meaning the PBX element is held in a secure data centre. The key difference compared to a traditional desk phone is how your phone calls travel across the network; with VoIP this is done via an Internet connection instead of the traditional Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). VoIP phones will often have a greater array of functionality than their traditional counterparts, such as HiHi2’s video capability.
Switching to VoIP
We’ll make the changeover to your new phone system a smooth process, tailored to your needs.
We don’t want you to end up paying for something you don’t need, and we’re sure you don’t either. That is why there are no fixed costs or set prices for a VoIP phone system from Rubix. Instead, we take the time to meet with you and take your business needs into consideration.
Once you are happy, our two-stage installation process begins. Our highly trained engineers will visit your office, initially installing the new phone system alongside your old one and providing training on your new phones and software. This means you can fully understand the new system while we switch over your existing services and set-up any new ones.
Once the changeover is complete and services provisioned, the second stage of the installation will take place. Your Customer Project Partner will be in touch throughout the install process to keep you updated and answer any questions you may have.
